There is a strong trend towards the willing integration of machines into our lives, as partners in shaping our habits and behavior. Likewise, machine intelligence is becoming less obtrusive and obvious, as machine insights begin to take a magical quality in their timeliness, and intuitive predictions. Will machine guidance ultimately strengthen, or weaken, our power of will?
