Twitter Curator helps collect tweets around key moments

Twitter Curator helps collect tweets around key moments | Public Relations & Social Marketing Insight | Scoop.it

Twitter's Curator tool, launched in March, aims to allow publishers to "discover, curate and display" relevant Twitter content around "key moments" such as breaking news and events.

Publishers must request access to Curator, presumably in order for Twitter to restrict its use to genuine media outlets only. Once your credentials have been approved, log in to Twitter Curator at curator.twitter.com.

Curator works around 'Projects' made up of 'Streams' which use custom search terms and filters to surface relevant tweets in real-time....

The Lowdown On Twitter Analytics

The Lowdown On Twitter Analytics | Public Relations & Social Marketing Insight | Scoop.it

If you’re a data wonk or just a social media nerd like me, you’re going to LOVE Twitter analytics. The good news is, its easy to acess and simple to use. Start by logging into your account.

Visit  https://analytics.twitter.com/user/[your twitter handle here]. You should see a blue box right up top that offers you access to your “Tweet Activity Dashboard.” Click it. If you don’t see the box, you can get to your analytics by visiting https://ads.twitter.com and selecting “Analytics” from the dropdown menu on top.

What Analytics Matter?
To determine what analytics are most valuable to you, start by revisiting your goals. What are you trying to accomplish through your social media presence? Is it reach (are you trying to reach the widest audience?)? If so, you’ll want to see when your tweets are getting the most organic reach and how your followers are trending. Are you growing your follower base? Is there a time when some tweets do better than others?...

HubSpot Makes Twitter Analytics Easier With RetweetLab Tool

HubSpot Makes Twitter Analytics Easier With RetweetLab Tool | Public Relations & Social Marketing Insight | Scoop.it

HubSpot, a marketing software company founded at MIT in 2006, has revealed a brand-new analytics tool that could help companies more effectively use Twitter for branding or promotional purposes.

...Retweet Lab's data is simple to use and surprisingly powerful. For example, in my case it revealed that I get the most retweets at around 7 p.m., even tough I usually tweet the most at 9 a.m. Thanks to the Retweet Lab data, I can now start tweeting more around 7 p.m. and in theory improve my Twitter influence. Similarly, the tool notes that tweets without "calls for action," such as "please tweet this," are infinitely more effective at generating retweets than ones that include such pleas. While this sort of information is useful for my own personal "brand," it's much more likely to be useful for bigger publishers or well-known brands....

Jeff Domansky's insight:

I can't say enough about the ReTweet Lab tool. You MUST test drive it. Powerful insight.

Analyze Your Twitter Account with ReTweetLab for More ReTweets | Dan Zarrella | Public Relations & Social Marketing Insight | Scoop.it

One of my favorite topics to research is ReTweeting. I have several very large (millions and hundreds of millions of rows) datasets that I use to do my analysis. The results of my research with these databases are best practices, generated across many industries, timezones, account types and languages. This data is a great starting point for your experimentation.

The best data is always your data.

So I created a free tool, ReTweetLab that allows you to do the same kind of analysis that I conduct on my large datasets on your account (or any other Twitter account you want).

Jeff Domansky's insight:

I can't say enough about that Zarrella. His knowledge of social media measurement is super and he is a super approachable, sharing guy. By creating this new, free, Twitter analytical tool, the insight you gain could not only increase the number of reTweets, it could make your overall effectiveness much higher.

ReTweet Lab instantly analyzes a segment of your personal or business Twitter stream and delivers up to a dozen benchmarks worth analyzing and taking action to improve what you do.

Highly recommended. 10/10
