Snappa is a new design tool for undesigners and content marketers. If you've ever been frustrated with Photoshop, this is a stripped down but still viable alternative. Key features to note:

I'm very impressed with Snappa for its ease-of-use and great value. It'll pay for itself in time saved alone. Kinda like Photoshop-light. Recommended tool for content people who are not designers. 9.5/10

Thematic is a new service designed for building and sharing visual stories. Thematic allows you to display up to twenty pictures organized around a theme of your choosing. You can add one line of text to each image in your story. Your completed story is displayed in a vertically scrolling format with each of your images occupying all of the available space in your browser. Completed stories can be shared publicly or kept private. Each public story can be shared via Twitter, Facebook, email, or embedding into a webpage. I've embedded my sample story below.

Images are important to use throughout a websites content but finding great photos can eat-up a lot of time. Images help attract reader attention by breaking up text and providing visualization. Adding images will improve also your SEO if a targeted keyword is included into the alt text. I found the fourteen websites listed above to be extremely useful resources, which I will definitely be of use in the near future!

The latest design tool from Serif, best known for itsAffinity Designer tool, Affinity Photo is a Mac-only alternative to Adobe Photoshop. After the February 9 launch of Affinity Photo, it may turn out to be at least as well-received as Affinity Designer, maybe more so.Releasing Affinity Photo as a free, beta version should help spread the word about it faster than usual, as will the fact that this app isn’t merely trying to be a dumbed-down alternative to Photoshop or just mimic its already well-known features. Serif isn’t shy about its intentions of taking Photoshop market share away from Adobe. In fact, the software maker is downright bold about what it says are several features of Affinity Photo that outclass Photoshop in every way. That’s a value proposition worth listening to, for sure....
