In this day and age, it is no longer enough to organize an event and expect people to find you.


If you want to draw the crowds, you have to reach out to them first. It’s about marketing in a smart way.


Online, the first step is to create a dedicated page on your website or blog that tells visitors everything they should know about the event. Don’t forget search engine AND mobile optimization.


Next, use social media sites to build momentum. Choose a unique hashtag for that event to allow people to follow conversations on Twitter, Instagram, and Google+. Take advantage of the Facebook and Google+ Events features. Link to your event in your email signature and business cards. Finally, use your email list or create one to increase exposure....
