Twitter Bio Ideas That Attract Followers | Sprout Social

Twitter Bio Ideas That Attract Followers | Sprout Social | Public Relations & Social Marketing Insight | Scoop.it

If your brand wants to attract followers on social media, it’s important to put your best face forward. That starts with writing a compelling bio.

This first impression can make or break your brand, helping people decide whether to follow or click away. That could also mean the difference between gaining and losing a customer.

Publishing a lackluster bio, or not including one at all, is too big a risk to take. So, with that in mind, let’s look at some of the ways you can create an outstanding bio. (We’re focusing on Twitter here because its 160-character limit makes writing a good bio particularly challenging.)...

Getting Twitter right: how to perfect your business tweeting strategy

Getting Twitter right: how to perfect your business tweeting strategy | Public Relations & Social Marketing Insight | Scoop.it

Twitter is only the second social network to truly stick fast. It has evolved since its inception to house photographs and other media, and successfully monetised itself without driving loyal users away. Crucially it has remained free at the point of use.

We have reached the stage whereby companies must add ‘a Twitter feed’ to their increasing list of things to do, on top of the phone number, website, contact email and Facebook page.

This important background explains why certain brands and businesses have opted not to have a Twitter feed. To leap on every social media bandwagon could turn out to be a waste of time. However, given Twitter’s huge success relative to other platforms, it also shows prioritising Twitter is essential for brands if they are to successfully engage audiences....

Jeff Domansky's insight:

Social media is very much an evolving phenomenon. New forms of communication and ways of making connections arise frequently in the digital space. Occasionally one of them sticks – think Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.

A Guide to Growing Your Twitter Audience

A Guide to Growing Your Twitter Audience | Public Relations & Social Marketing Insight | Scoop.it

Followers mean popularity, which in turn means trust, which then in turn could lead to customers and brand recognition. There are numerous ways to tap into this glowing hub of activity, watch Eric Kuhn's video for some insider tips.

As Twitter is such a fast flowing social network, doing simple things can often bring you great results very quickly. For example, running a competition is going to get you noticed faster than following someone in the hope they will follow you back because a competition gives Twitter users something that they want.
