ChatGPT, a generative language model launched by OpenAI in November 2022 has essentially has essentially revolutionized the IT world.. What makes ChatGPT a promising tool is the vast amounts of data used in its training and its ability to generate human-like conversations covering diverse topics.

The unprecedented capacity of ChatGPT to generate human-like responses, refined through Reinforcement Learning with Human Feedback, could significantly reshape the pedagogical methodologies within medical education.

The use of AI in medicine, including the use of generative language models, is often accompanied by challenges and contentions. Some common challenges include privacy, data security, algorithmic transparency and explainability, errors and liability, as well as regulatory issues associated with AI medicine.

Lately, the use of generative language models in scientific writing has also stirred up controversies in the academic and publishing communities. Some journals have declined ChatGPT as a coauthor, whereas others have happily accepted manuscripts authored by ChatGPT

Through a comprehensive review and the authors’ personal experiences, this viewpoint article elucidates the pros, cons, and ethical considerations of using ChatGPT within clinical medicine and notably, its implications for medical education.

This exploration is crucial in a transformative era where AI could potentially augment human capability in the process of knowledge creation and dissemination, potentially revolutionizing medical education and clinical practice.

It’s now possible to "beam" to a remote conference stage to deliver a presentation or participate in a panel discussion as if you were there in person. Conversely, several people's holograms can simultaneously present at a conference or in a meeting and interact with each other as well as live presenters or performers.

The COVID-19 pandemic has a lot of people thinking about the future of communication and collaboration. While videoconferencing has been the necessary go-to substitute for business travel and working at the office, users complain it's not the same as in-person interactions.

Some organizations are adopting holograms as a new form of virtual presence, and it's making a memorable impact on audiences given its novelty.

Companies in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries are similarly using holograms to educate groups of doctors and medical practitioners.

For example, instead of sending them to a posh vacation spot to learn about a new drug, pharmaceutical companies are instead inviting them to hotels for a meal and a presentation that includes the use of holograms. Pharmaceutical companies are able to cut costs and the doctors don't have to allot two or three days just to attend a relatively short presentation.

eHealth literacy was conceptualized in 2006 as the ability of internet users to locate, evaluate, and act upon web-based health information.

Now, advances in eHealth technology have cultivated transactional opportunities for patients to access, share, and monitor health information. However, empirical evidence shows that existing models and measures of eHealth literacy have limited theoretical underpinnings that reflect the transactional capabilities of eHealth.

This paper describes a conceptual model based on the Transactional Model of Communication (TMC), in which eHealth literacy is described as an intrapersonal skillset hypothesized as being dynamic; reciprocal; and shaped by social, relational, and cultural contexts.

The objective of this study was to systematically examine eHealth literacy definitions, models, and measures to propose a refined conceptual and operational definition based on the TMC.

Systematic review evidence revealed incongruity between operational eHealth literacy included in definitions compared with literacies included within models and measures. Theoretical underpinnings of eHealth literacy also remain dismal.

Despite the transactional capabilities of eHealth, the role of “communication” in eHealth literacy remains underdeveloped and does not account for physical and cognitive processing abilities necessary for multiway transactions.
